The Concord party believes that a coherent energy policy is vital to maintaining the standard of living of Americans, protecting the environment, securing our national interests and growing our economy. We believe that innovation through technology and conservation is the best path to develop sustainable long term prosperity.
The Concord party supports federal spending and partnerships with the private sector in order to drive the innovation required to constantly develop cleaner and more efficient forms of energy.
The Concord party believes that dependence on oil is a poor policy for many reasons including environmental, national security and economic. We support initiatives which seek to reduce the amount of oil consumed and to find renewable, environment-friendly energy solutions. We also support legislation which imposes strict federal standards on emissions, fuel economy and so on.
